We accelerate the development of CCUS solutions through research, collaboration and outreach. This contributes directly to reaching Denmark’s climate goals. About About CCUS CCUS is a collective term that describes various methods of capturing CO2 either directly from the emitting source or from the atmosphere. If the carbon is not used on site, the captured CO2 can either be stored permanently in geological reservoirs or used for other purposes, such as food and beverage production, chemicals, building materials and synthetic fuels for aircraft, where fossil carbon can be replaced. CCUS represent the only technology solutions capable of deep emission reductions, especially within hard-to-abate industries, such as cement and steel. CCUS will play an important role in meeting global energy and climate
